Fundraising

We need your help to raise funds to tackle high blood pressure, and we’re grateful for any amount you raise.

There are many ways you can help us save lives, from coffee mornings to trekking challenges.

Set yourself a challenge, get fit, have fun and support our life-saving work.

We’re here to help you with ideas and resources, and we will support you every step of the way. For information, ideas or a fundraising pack contact our fundraising team at info@bloodpressureuk.org or call 020 7882 6255.

Organise an event

By organising a fundraising event, you can have fun, catch up with friends and help thousands of people with high blood pressure at the same time.

You could plan a barn dance, promise auction or garden open day, or keep it simple with a coffee morning or car boot sale. You could even celebrate a special occasion in aid of our work, inviting donations instead of gifts.

For more inspiration, check out our A-Z of Fundraising Ideas.

Organising an event can be easier than it sounds. You can ask your friends, family and colleagues to help out, and make the most of the resources you have. You could organise a group activity – have a look at the challenge events below – or if you belong to a Club or Association you could organise a dinner dance, auction or tournament.

We can provide balloons, posters, online fundraising services, badges and leaflets about high blood pressure. We’re also here to offer advice and support you while you organise your event and we can help you promote it through the local media and online.

Set yourself a challenge

Kick start a healthier lifestyle with a sponsored walk, swim or stop smoking drive. If you’re feeling adventurous, what about a sponsored bungie jump or sky dive? The sky’s the limit.

We can provide sponsorship forms and information about our work to encourage support. You can set up a sponsorship page online. Visit www.justgiving.com or Enthuse and nominate Blood Pressure UK as your chosen charity.

You can make it a group or team event too – an afternoon hike with friends can be a lovely way to pass a Sunday, and a small participation fee with snacks for sale can help in your fundraising efforts.

Take part in a sporting event

There’s a huge range of sporting events taking places across the country throughout the year. Whether you fancy a running event, a bicycle ride or a trekking challenge, there’s something for you. See what some of our fantastic fundraisers have done to get you inspired.

If you’ve found your perfect challenge, get in touch and we’ll support you as you prepare for the big day. Stuck for ideas? Let us know and we’ll help you find your perfect match.

Once you’ve chosen your challenge, you can start fundraising through www.justgiving.com or Enthuse by nominating Blood Pressure UK as your chosen charity. And we’ll be here to support you through the highs and lows of training.

Celebrate a special occasion

For a special way to mark a birthday, anniversary, retirement or other celebration, you could invite your friends and family to give donations instead of gifts.

Supporting us in this way means we can be there to give life-saving information and support to others, so they can enjoy many birthdays to come.

We can provide resources and support to help your celebration go smoothly.

Set up a Celebration page on JustGiving

You can create your own donations web page with JustGiving to celebrate your special occasion and customise it with photographs and messages. Family and friends can then donate online from anywhere in the world with their message of congratulations.

Organise a Celebration collection

We can send you a Celebration collection pack that you can use at your special event if you would like people to make a donation on the big day.

The pack contains donation envelopes that you can personalise and information about how we’re working to save lives.

We’re here to help

Call us on 020 7882 6255 or email info@bloodpressureuk.org to request a Celebration pack, if you would like help with your JustGiving page, or if you would like to donate funds raised in a different way. Please allow at least five working days to allow enough time for the Celebration pack to reach you.
