CEO Update - Spring has sprung, and 2025 is already racing ahead!
Back in January, I talked about the power of lifestyle changes for our health – my own resolution was to move more, and while I’ve ramped up the exercise, I know there’s more to do. Sound familiar?
It’s been a fast-paced start to the year here at Blood Pressure UK. We’re deep into planning for Know Your Numbers! Week, coming up from 8th-14th September, and working hard on new themes and partnerships to reach even more people with life-saving information.
But none of this happens without you. From our corporate supporters to charitable trusts, generous individuals, fundraisers, and those who leave a legacy in memory – your support drives everything we do.
In this issue, we’ve got exciting fundraising opportunities – including one coveted place in the 2026 London Marathon – and plenty of ways you can help us spread the word and save lives.
Also making headlines again is salt. A new report from Action on Salt and Sugar has revealed sky-high levels of salt and sugar in snacks like crisps, nuts, and popcorn. Shockingly, nearly a third of ready-to-eat popcorn is saltier than a bag of cheese & onion crisps. But there’s good news – we can change this. With your help, we can continue pushing for better products, better choices, and healthier lives.
So here’s to a season of action – living better, moving more, and reaching out far and wide.
