Free health screening for Kingston residents
Kingston residents aged 40-74 can take advantage of free heart health checks at the Hook Centre this Saturday 7 August.
NHS Kingston has teamed up with UK charity the Blood Pressure Association to bring the free screening to convenient locations around the borough, to help reduce heart health problems among its residents.
This Saturday 7 August, from 10am to 5.30pm, the Blood Pressure Association screening van will be in the car park of the Hook Centre, on Hook Road.
All Kingston residents aged 40-74 can stop by for the screening, provided they haven’t already been diagnosed with high blood pressure, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, heart disease or have had a heart attack or stroke.
There’s no need for an appointment, and in just 20 minutes residents can have a full ‘NHS Health Check’, which includes blood pressure, body mass index, cholesterol, diabetes and waist circumference testing.
