Donate in memory

Making a donation to save the lives of others can be a very special way to remember a loved one.

You can give on behalf of yourself, or you can organise a collection from other friends and loved ones. Sometimes people like to invite donations instead of flowers.

Make a donation In Memory

If you would like to make a donation to celebrate the life of a loved one, thank you. Your gift is very important to us and will make a lasting difference.

We will send the next of kin a personal letter to let them know of your donation. We will wait five weeks after receiving your donation so as not to intrude too much at this difficult time.

Please get in touch if you would like to make a donation in memory. Call us on 020 7882 6255.  We will ask you:

  • your name and address or phone number – so that we can let you know we’ve received your donation
  • the name of your loved one and the date of their funeral
  • the next of kin’s name and address, if you have them – so that we can send them a letter to let them know of your gift.

Organising a collection In Memory

There are different ways you can organise a collection, you can set up a tribute fund online, or make a collection at the funeral.

When we receive a donation, we will send the next of kin a personal letter to let them know of your donation. We will wait five weeks after receiving your donation so as not to intrude too much at this difficult time. For online tributes, it also allows time for people to make their donation. We will let them know the total amount and who has donated, but we won’t list individual gifts.

Making a collection at the funeral

You can invite donations at the funeral. We can send you an In Memory collection pack which contains donation envelopes that you can personalise with the name of the person being remembered, and information sheets about the work we do to help others.

Please call us on 020 7882 6255 or email info@bloodpressureuk.org to request a collection pack. Please allow at least five working days if you can so that it will reach you in time.

Setting up an online tribute

Another way to honour a loved one is to set up a Tribute Fund web page in their name. Family and friends can then donate via this page, now and in the future. You can personalise the Tribute page to share photos, memories and messages.

You can set up a Tribute Fund on www.muchloved.com, please contact us on 020 7882 6255 if you need any help.
