David Blunkett MP

David Blunkett MP and Blood Pressure UK are urging local residents to know their blood pressure numbers in the same way they know their height and weight, the only way to find out is to have a free, quick and painless blood pressure check.

Mr Blunkett said: “I got to know my numbers almost 20 years ago when I discovered that high blood pressure was the cause of my dizziness. Knowing the truth helps you do something about it and continue life as normal, even when under the most enormous pressure as I was in my eight years in government. Preventing strokes or heart attacks is a benefit of our modern NHS so it is good common sense to get checked out and put things right before it’s too late.”

There will be pressure stations at ASDA Pharmacy, Sheffield Chaucer Road, Parsons Cross and Associated Chemist (wicker Ltd), Wicker Pharmacy, 55-67 Wicker. Alternatively you can find your nearest check by typing in your postcode here
