If the New Year has tempted you back into the gym or if you want to get fit and need a focal point for your exercise, why not aim to take part in this year's British London 10k Run!
It takes place on Sunday 8 July 2012 and is a fun day out, passing many of the great tourist sites in London, giving a great riverside view of the London Eye and Houses of Parliament before finishing at Whitehall.
Much of the course you will be running is the same as the route for 2012 London Olympic Marathon. It attracts runners from all over the world, including current Olympic and World champions, but don't worry, you don't need to be an athlete to take part. People of all fitness levels are welcome, and you can take it at your own pace by walking, jogging or running the route.
It really is a great way to help raise money for our charity. After all, it’s only just over six miles and you’ll have plenty of company along the way.
Also, becoming more active will help you to lower your blood pressure and reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke. It will also help you feel better and healthier. You never know, training for the British London 10K Run on behalf of the Blood Pressure Association could be just the start you need to making exercise part of your life!
We have 36 guaranteed places available, so register your interest to take part today by filling out the form below. This means that in the Spring we can send you more information on the Run and how to guarantee your place.
Please let your friends, family and colleagues know so that they can find out how to take part too.
Thank you - your support really does make a big difference to the work of Blood Pressure UK in supporting people with high blood pressure and raising awareness of this silent killer.
