A big thank you to all our fantastic fundraisers. Below are some of their stories.

Jackie Bisley (front row, middle) ran the British 10k with five colleagues.

She says: “My grandfather died of a heart attack before I was born and I often wonder whether he could have been alive for me to meet him had he received better advice and support from a charity like Blood Pressure UK. This gave me the added incentive to do the best that I could for the charity.”

Peter Bosson, a member of Blood Pressure UK, was diagnosed with high blood pressure during a health check.

He says: “Blood Pressure UK has really helped me with information on how to control my blood pressure, so the British London 10K Run was a great opportunity to show my support for the charity.”

“As physiotherapy graduates, we’ve all seen first hand the debilitating results of stroke,” says Graeme. “Of course high blood pressure is one of the major risk factors of stroke, yet so many people don’t take it seriously enough. Knowing we were supporting Blood Pressure UK was a great motivator for the run.”
